  • Redeem Premium access codes directly to your AltSea account to unlock Premium benefits.
  • Contextual Actions are now available with Premium access. This experimental feature suggests helpful actions based on the link's website, such as opening X links in Nitter or comparing Amazon price history. It runs entirely on your device.

Improved

  • Ignored Domains are clearer and easier to use. The existing option to open a domain directly in your browser is now more visible, along with several UI improvements.
  • You can now manage a link's matching domain rule directly from the Advanced Mode sheet.
  • Ignored Domains now make it clearer when a link matches a rule and will open directly in your browser. You can also swipe to delete a rule and undo the deletion.

Fixed

  • Fixed unwrapping of double redirects that use tracking parameters.
  • Preview errors are no longer cached, so previews can retry the next time you open a link.

  • Several improvements to the Link History screen.
  • The "Try me out" home card can now be dismissed and shown again from App Settings.
  • AltSea now removes more tracking clutter from shared social, shopping, and marketplace links while being more careful with useful parameters.
  • Improved AMP and redirect cleanup, including Google AMP viewer links and nested redirect wrappers.
  • On-device link previews are more reliable and avoid extra work for large pages, unsupported files, and repeated preview failures.
  • Fast Mode gets links to the browser sooner.

Fixed

  • Incognito and private link openings are excluded from Link History.
  • Safer HTTPS and www cleanup checks prevent rewrites when the probe lands on a different page.

  • We now support email sign-in.
  • Your links, categories, and history can back up and sync across your devices.
  • You choose what syncs. Turn it off for anything you'd rather keep on your device only.
  • Select any text with a link and tap "AltSea: Open" to clean and open it.
  • Deleted a saved link by mistake? Tap Undo to get it back.

  • Link History now supports up to 200 entries, groups links by day, and has clearer options for clearing recent or all history.
  • Browser settings are now easier to access from the link-opening sheet, and preferred browser settings are grouped with browser visibility.
  • Saved link previews only show their toggle when a saved link actually has preview content.
  • Newly created categories are automatically selected when saving a link.
  • Saving a link now confirms which category it was saved to.

What's New

  • Beta Feature Board & Feedback Sheet: Beta testers can now view top requested features, vote on them, and suggest new ideas directly inside the app, accessible via the About screen or a feedback banner on the home screen.
  • Manual Link Cleaning Guide during onboarding.
  • Postponed Privacy Prompts: Permission choices for usage analytics and crash reporting are no longer frontloaded during onboarding. Instead, they are deferred until the app has been used, and both start disabled by default.

What's Improved

  • Inline URL Cleaning Settings: Configure URL cleaning rules directly within the Advanced Mode link sheet without leaving the interception dialog.
  • Robust Preview Image Loading: Web preview cards now send a browser-like User-Agent and referer when fetching images, preventing broken images on sites that block hotlinking.
  • Text-Only Web Previews: Previews are now shown even if a site does not provide an image, relying on text titles and descriptions instead.
  • Stable Browser Selection: The browser list in the Advanced Mode sheet no longer shifts or re-sorts reactively while you are tapping an option.
  • Fast Mode UI Polish: Refined layout and animations for the cleaned link box, with better labels and screen reader support.

What's Fixed

  • Browser Launch Compatibility: Fixed app crashes and launch failures by ensuring AltSea only launches browser activities that are marked as enabled and exported by the system.
  • Quiet Update Failure: Removed the intrusive update failure banner on the home screen; failures are now handled silently in the background.
  • Incognito Consistency: Standardized incognito and private browsing launching across all supported browsers.
